IHRC SUBMITS FINAL ELECTION OBSERVATION REPORT TO THE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION (CEI) OF CÔTE D’IVOIRE
Abidjan, November 10, 2025 — The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has officially submitted its Final Report of the Election Observation Mission (MOE–IHRC) to the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, following the Presidential Election held on October 25, 2025. The submission took place during an official working session at the CEI headquarters in Abidjan – Cocody, attended by representatives of the Commission and IHRC’s National Coordination Office in Côte d’Ivoire. This mission was accredited under the reference number No. 140 / CEI / PDT / VP – KS / WMJA, and conducted under the regional supervision of ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States). The 130-page final report was compiled in accordance with international election observation standards and the official recommendations of the CEI, encompassing field assessments, data from long-term and short-term observers, and recommendations to enhance transparency, democratic governance, and human rights protection throughout the electoral process. IHRC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peaceful, transparent, and inclusive elections in Côte d’Ivoire and across the ECOWAS region.
The organization emphasized that credible elections are the cornerstone of political stability and sustainable development in Africa.
“Our mission was to ensure that democracy remains a tool for unity, not division,” said the IHRC National Coordinator for Côte d’Ivoire during the handover ceremony. “The IHRC continues to work hand in hand with African institutions and civil society to promote human rights and good governance.” The official ceremony took place on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the CEI Headquarters in Cocody, Abidjan .
