COMMISSIONER
MANDATE TO REPRESENT – REPUBLIC OF Liberia
Commissioner Mohamed Jeremiah Fonnie is hereby entrusted with a formal mandate to represent the International Human Rights Commission – IHRC Corporation in all matters concerning the establishment of diplomatic relations and the conclusion of a Treaty of Diplomatic Cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Liberia.
In this capacity, Commissioner Fonnie is authorized to serve as the primary liaison with relevant governmental institutions in Liberia, coordinate preparations for the signing of the treaty, and promote the strategic objectives of IHRC within the territory of the Republic of Liberia.
His responsibilities include:
  • Supporting formal     communications and negotiations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and     other relevant state bodies;
  • Facilitating legal     recognition and registration procedures for IHRC Corporation in Liberia;
  • Identifying strategic     opportunities for humanitarian, development, and diplomatic engagement in     line with IHRC's mission;
  • Preparing the     institutional groundwork for the establishment of IHRC offices and     permanent diplomatic presence in the country.
Commissioner Fonnie shall report directly to the IHRC Secretary General and operate within the framework of international law and the IHRC Corporation Statutes.
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY
As Commissioner, Mohamed Jeremiah Fonnie is vested with the following powers:
  1. To officially     represent IHRC Corporation at international forums, conferences,     diplomatic missions, and events related to humanitarian and human rights     activities;
  2. To act as the     official spokesperson on matters relating to global fundraising and the     humanitarian mission of IHRC;
  3. To negotiate with     governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations,     foundations, institutions, and private donors worldwide on behalf of IHRC;
  4. To initiate and     formalize partnerships with individuals and institutions contributing to     IHRC’s humanitarian and peacebuilding programs;
  5. To participate in the     review and approval of informational, marketing, and campaign materials     related to IHRC’s mission;
  6. To issue public     statements and grant media interviews on behalf of IHRC regarding its     international humanitarian operations.

As Commissioner, Mohamed Jeremiah Fonnie commits to uphold and promote the following core principles:

  2. Political neutrality     and impartiality in all IHRC engagements;

COOPERATION
All governmental and non-governmental organizations, institutions, and private individuals are encouraged to cooperate with Commissioner Mohamed Jeremiah Fonnie in his official capacity in support of IHRC’s mission, including:
  • Fundraising for     humanitarian programs;
  • Logistical and     operational support;
  • Public awareness     campaigns and civic mobilization;
  • Strategic planning     and execution of humanitarian and development missions.
TERM OF MANDATE
This mandate is effective from the date of signature and shall remain valid for a period of one (1) years, unless officially revoked earlier by the International Human Rights Commission IHRC Corporation.
