STOP HATE Campaign – Official Patronage International Human Rights Commission
The world can and should learn much from Poland’s rich and diverse culture, sophisticated cultural institutions and vibrant cultural life. Poland is home to 15 listed World heritage sites, country has developed an impressive number of museums, public and private, and takes seriously its obligation to protect cultural heritage both in these museums and in the public space, through numerous plaques and monuments.
From the perspective of cultural rights, heritage resources are important as a bridge between the past and the future, and should be accessible for all to engage with. Social campaigns were conducted to build skills to identify and counter hate speech and discrimination. With videos, graphics, street events, conferences etc. the topic has been mainstreamed. The campaign coalition was joined by about 50 anti-hate speech non-governmental, public and local government institutions and organisations; about 300 activists received training.
The project targeted youth aged 16-25, non-governmental organisations, and teachers. The goal of the project was to integrate existing Polish initiatives against hate speech and strengthen them building on European experience.
Interntional Human Rights Commission officially Patronize the STOP HATE campaign. At the turn of January and February 2019 in the School Complex No. 4 of the Agricultural Center for Continuing Education in Wałcz / Poland, under the care of Brother Grzegorz Badziąg Commissioner IHRC, the social project “Stop Hate” was carried out.
